Je connais bien les limites de mon esprit,

Mais pourquoi on prononce yacht - "yot"

Cela reste incompris.

I'm not genius but not idiot

 I can distinguish "lie" as "not stand"

 from "truth" as "not lie"

 But why "yacht" is pronounced as [jət]

I don't understand, why
